Concerto for bandoneon and Petropavlovsk Symphony Orchestra

Played a concert with a symphony orchestra from Petropavlovsk (Kazakhstan). It was my second visit to Kazakhstan and I like this trend.

Kazakhs (both Kazakhs and Russian) are really hospitable, that's perhaps the influence of oriental hospitality, when, for example, an invitation even to a poor house turns into a luxurious treat.

Petropavlovsk is not a large city by Russian standards, with a population of about 150,000. Something I do not remember such a city in Russia, where the full symphony lineup would exist. It was founded 12 years ago (during the difficult years) and still manages by Sergey Imashbaev. Cool musician (trombonist) and extremely energetic and cheerful person. I myself have been charged by his optimism and perpetual motion. That's why I understand how he managed to create a good orchestra from such a "low start".

There's something in common between Petropavlovsk Orchestra and Pavlodar Orchestra (nearest major city), led by Bolat Rakhimzhanov. These come to honest attitude to the profession, a healthy atmosphere, the desire to learn new things, the type of personality of both leaders.

So, I'm sincerely glad to meet Petropavlovsk Orchestra and their conductor. And it feels to be mutual. It means a lot, you know, when some orchestra members and listeners, returning from a concert, catching me up on Facebook writing kind words of farewell and welcoming back again.

Thank you for the music, my friends! We meet again soon!

Black&white musicians
My teacher prof. Nikolay Kravtsov told me that the accordionist's appearance should only have white teeth and white accordion keys, the rest must be black. Though I ddo not play accordion for a white, I got the lesson. :)
